The JCCP Substance Abuse Services program takes place at the Jackson County Jail, where it is provided to clients who demonstrate an identified substance abuse history. Clients participate in sessions while incarcerated, as well as aftercare sessions, if required, upon their release. The general focus is educational, with completion of a Bio-Psycho-Social assessment for each individual.
Goals of the program are:

•
To teach clients to recognize signs of addiction or abuse
•  For the clients to demonstrate an understanding of the debilitating, damaging impact of substance abuse
•  Introduction to, and building of, skills necessary for each individual's success and recovery in the every day world
